Please tell us a bit about yourself!
I’m a 25 year old Informatics student who born and raised in Munich. When I was 15 years old, I asked myself the question “how to build a robot from scratch?” - this led me to programming and I became really passionate about it. What excited me the most about it is how many problems can be solved and cool things can be built. Therefore I continued learning about new technology related topics such as web development and microcontrollers. In my free time I like to go boxing or fishing.
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be and why?
Learning. If you become an expert in something instantly, you are limited to one skill. Being an expert in “learning new skills” will give you the opportunity to get any other capability in no time! No matter if web development, playing the guitar or speaking another language.
If you could invent a product or service that would make people's lives better, what would it be?
A language learning application that helps you get better in any language you want, from any language you want - using spaced repetition learning techniques.
Do you have any helpful advice for people that want to pursue the same career as you?
Don't get frustrated when not understanding something at first, you will get better over time and you will get better much faster, if you don't get frustrated. Also try to get better at web development by getting your hands dirty, first building small projects or ideas you have!
