MVST x Redcare Pharmacy (ShopApotheke): Health Never Looked Better

The magic word for this product was: Rebranding! We were super stoked to be part of this huge step in ShopApotheke's success story. Let's take a look at MVST's way of a makeover and - of course - the result!

How do we make sure, that the design and technical realization of a radical change in an online appearance stays consistent with the brand identity?
Our answer is communication, precision, and perfection. ShopApotheke told us what makes them unique and therefore successful. Their success can be seen in the different locations alone: The brand is known in Germany and Austria as ShopApotheke. In Switzerland, France, and Italy they provide medical supplies under the name Redcare.
And we listened. We bundled our strong focus on design with cleverness and endless development opportunities. And we delivered.
The Product Concept
DesignStudio from London did an amazing job of creating an iconic brand identity. In the next and final step, it was our pleasure to bring this design to life in all aspects to build well-rounded digital products. We approached this task with a focus on user-centricity, ensuring that the new design would provide an intuitive and enjoyable experience for ShopApotheke's diverse customer base.
ShopApotheke has webshops in five European countries, which we have given a new look - but with a new look comes a new experience! This involved adapting the brand identity to accommodate cultural nuances and regional preferences while maintaining consistency and scalability ensuring that the rebranding effort was not only visually stunning but also technically sound and strategically aligned with ShopApotheke's business objectives.

The Rebranding
Before we started, the shop's look didn't match ShopApotheke's new identity as there were many darker colors.
Rebranding the whole shop was a challenge - but a fun one!
Since ShopApotheke / Redcare has several online pharmacies, we rebranded shop after shop: We started with the Italian shop, then the Austrian shop, then the German shop, then the Swiss shop, and last but not least the French shop.
The goal was to unify the rebranding efforts across European markets, strengthening their online presence and maintaining consistency with the established brand identity. This involved extensive user research tailored to each country to ensure the rebranding resonated well with customers across different age demographics.
Additionally, we seamlessly integrated Storyblok into every webshop, providing ShopApotheke with a user-friendly CMS to update website content easily and quickly.
The outcome speaks for itself: an intuitive rebranding that prioritizes user experience, from browsing to checkout.
As a result, we achieved a remarkable sales growth rate of 49% and reached a record of 10.8 million active customers.
