Please tell us a bit about your background

My first steps

The same as many young developers, my first baby steps into the IT & development world were inspired by video games. As a matter of fact, as a teenager, I wanted to make my own video game so I started learning c++ and a bit of pixel of art which in turn got me motivated to learn about graphic design and UI Design. Somehow in high school I found myself interested in Web development and started learning the typical web bundle for the time HTML CSS JS and PHP.

University

Following my newfound interests in development, I decided to enroll as a software engineer at the national institute of applied science and technology of Tunis (INSAT) teaching me the basics of data structures, algorithms and design patterns and offering me a lot of much-needed associative experience through clubs.

Professional career

My first professional achievement was taking a few freelancing gigs to get myself acquainted with the field and allowing me to learn new technology, especially for the front-end most notably react and angular. In fact, I tend to lean towards frontend over the backend considering my design background as I enjoy playing around with shapes, colors and animations. While taking on freelancing jobs I got the chance to work on a portfolio-building website called Webipie which is a small personal project. In the next year, I got to work part-time for a local consulting company for a year using Angular & Larvel called CLS and on an expense management application with a company called Expensya.

Why did you choose MVST?

To sum things up, I got to know about MVST. through a university colleague working there who had recommended me for this position. Looking through their social media, website and the way their projects are design driven and their stylistic choice, I considered it a perfect fit for me. This got me more interested in joining such an environment.
